Less Proficient vs. More Proficient l2 Learners’ Preferences for Compensation Strategies: l1-Based, l2-Based, and Non-Linguistic

This study addressed high- and low-proficiency learners’ preferences for two compensation strategies: guessing and compensating for missing knowledge.
